Walton has recently launched its new low-budget smartphone. The name of the phone is Walton Primo GH9 which is priced at around BDT 6,799. The phone was launched in Bangladesh in September, 2020. The phone is now available for sale in the market. It is available in one variant which is 2gb ram/16gb rom. I have already used the phone for a few days as I have it in my hand. And today I will talk to you about the details of the phone.

Design-
As soon as we get the phone in hand, we notice the design of the phone first while unboxing. Even before buying, the design of the phone is on the priority list of many buyers. If the design is not good, many people do not agree to buy the phone. But since the Walton Primo GH9 is a low budget phone, we can’t expect too much in the phone.
The phone is available in 4 colors. Black,sky blue, ocean green and deep blue colors. You will see a U-notch display on the front of the phone with a screen size of 6.1 inches. The volume button and power button are provided on the right side of the phone. The SIM card slot is located on the left side of the phone.Below the phone,there are USB port for charging and speakers. And on top of the phone there is the position of the headphone jack. The phone has a dual camera setup in the top left corner on the back of the phone and in the middle of the top a rear mounted fingerprint sensor is located.And the whole phone is built with plastic. The body dimensions of the phone are 154.3 x 72.8 x 8.6 mm and the body weight is 165 grams.The company has tried to offer a nice design on the GH9 according to the price, but the phone is relatively thick to me.As the battery is not so big (3000mah),It could be a little bit slim.So that we can carry it for a long time.But the screen size is not so huge so it has been very easy to hold this phone in one hand.
Display-
The main content of using any kind of phone depends on the display of that phone. We do not feel comfortable using the phone if the display of the phone is not of good quality.Here Walton has used a 6.1 inch HD plus IPS LCD panel in the display section for their budget section. And at the same time they have given a U-notch at the top. Many people will be happy to watch the video on this screen for this U-notch.But those who like the big screen,for them it can be a little bit disappointing & frustrating.
Now let’s talk about the quality of the display. You can call the display a vibrant one that pops the colors on the right parameters to show you the perfection of everything.The new 15.5 cm (6.1 “) U-Notch display is vibrant and colorful enough to hold your attention.
Display resolution is1560x720 pixels with an aspect ratio of 19:9. Another noteworthy thing is that the display uses a 2.5D curved glass. I did not think it is that much bad to get this display in this low-budget.
Camera Performance –
For those who like or don’t like Android phones, an unavoidable desire in this age is a good camera. In this modern age of social media,without good quality camera phones do not work at all. So different phone companies are trying to give some Efforts on to provideo good quality cameras day by day in their mid-range devices at affordable prices.
But the company must keep an eye on their budget segment. In this context, Walton has set up a dual camera for the rear of their GH9 phone and a single camera on the front has been provided for selfies.
Since the price of the phone is very low, their range of development is also quite limited.
The primary camera has a 13-megapixel and 0.3-MP depth sensor. The GH9’s 13MP main shooter can shoot accurately in any scene and situation, and it helps you capture shots with the naked eye. Using the depth camera you will get images with outstanding sharpness and blurred backgrounds. With a 13MP camera you can take very good pictures in day light and you can take fairly good pictures in low light also. However, the 0.3 MP depth sensor seemed useless to me in many cases.
A 5 MP in U-groove; F 2.2 Aperture with PDF Technology; There is a selfie camera that makes you beautiful with its beauty adaptation technology. Here the selfie camera has cute mood, beauty mood and bokeh mood with which you will be able to take very good selfies even at 5 MP. Face detection (Face Lock), Digital Zoom, BSI, Touch Focus, Touch Capture, Finger Capture, Self-Timer, Volume Capture, etc. are featured in the camera settings.And for video recording, you can record at 30 fps up to1080p resolution.From my own point of view, I think no one will be disappointed with this camera setup at this low price.
Performance –
Walton Primo GH9 uses MediaTek Helio A-20 processor as their chipset. It will help you to do your basic work in daily life, but you will not be able to use this phone for heavy use.If you use the phone Heavily, you will have to face with the hang lack problems and there is also the issue of overheating.
The GH9’s 2GB RAM can handle light daily tasks without any hassle. For storing your favorite apps, music, videos and photos and it has 16 GB of storage which you can expand up to a maximum of 256 GB of storage.It is a 12 nanometer finfet process technology with an impressive GPU performance by the 53 quad-core CPU complex in ARM Cortex.It bargains for an endless user experience in the use of smartphones in your daily life. The highly affordable entry-level smartphone brings a new level of impressive efficiency, a 27% increase in CPU performance and a 123% increase in games compared to the previous generation. With the phone you can do light gaming, but if you play games with heavy graphics settings such as Free-Fire, Pubgi, Asphalt 9, etc;the phone will give you a heating and hang issue.

Walton Primo GH9 is a low-budget device. The company has tried its best to give you something good at a low price. Those who have a low budget can buy this phone surely. But those who want a good quality display, good gaming performance, good camera and modern design,they need to increase their budget.And in a mid-range budget you can see the smartphones of other companies in the market in the average segment.
